2. Website Use

The information on this website is provided for general information only. We aim to keep all content accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that all information, images, product descriptions, finishes, specifications or availability details will always be complete, current or error-free.

You must not use this website in a way that could damage, disable, overload or impair the website, or interfere with any other person’s use of it.

3. Images, Designs and Project Examples

Images shown on this website are examples of previous work, design styles, finishes and layouts. Because many Creative Wood projects are bespoke, final results may vary depending on your property, chosen materials, site conditions, measurements, appliances, finishes and agreed design specification.

Any drawings, plans, images, renders, samples or design concepts supplied by Creative Wood remain subject to final survey, technical review, material availability and written quotation.

4. Appointments and Consultations

Appointments may be arranged by phone, email, website enquiry or other agreed method. Appointment availability is subject to our schedule.

Initial discussions, showroom visits or consultations do not create a binding contract unless we issue a written quotation or agreement and you accept it in accordance with the terms provided.

5. Quotations

Quotations are based on the information available at the time they are prepared. This may include customer requirements, drawings, site information, measurements, appliance details, chosen finishes and other project assumptions.

Unless stated otherwise, quotations are valid for the period shown on the quotation. If no validity period is stated, the quotation may be subject to change due to changes in material costs, supplier pricing, labour costs, transport costs, project scope or availability.

A quotation does not become a confirmed order until it has been accepted by the customer and any required deposit or payment has been received.

6. Bespoke and Made-to-Measure Work

Many Creative Wood products are custom-made or made to measure for a specific customer, property, room layout and design specification.

Once an order is confirmed, materials may be ordered, design work may begin and manufacturing time may be allocated. For this reason, changes or cancellations may not always be possible once work has started, materials have been ordered or bespoke manufacturing has begun.

This does not affect your statutory consumer rights under Irish law, including your rights where goods or services do not meet the standards required by law. Irish consumer rights are governed by the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and related consumer protection rules.

7. Deposits and Payments

A deposit or staged payment may be required before design, ordering, manufacturing or installation work begins. The amount and timing of payments will be set out in your quotation, invoice or written agreement.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Deposits secure production time, design work, materials and project planning.
  • Further payments may be required before delivery, installation or completion.
  • Final payment is due in accordance with the agreed invoice terms.
  • Ownership of goods remains with Creative Wood until payment has been received in full.

Late payment may result in delays to manufacturing, delivery, installation, handover, remedial works or future service.

8. Measurements, Access and Site Readiness

Accurate measurements and site access are essential for successful bespoke work. Where Creative Wood carries out a site survey, the design and quotation may still depend on the property being ready, accessible and structurally suitable for the agreed work.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that:

  • The site is safe and accessible.
  • Existing units, appliances, plumbing, electrics or other items are removed or prepared where agreed.
  • Building, plastering, flooring, tiling, plumbing, electrical or other preparatory works are completed before installation, unless Creative Wood has expressly agreed to include them.
  • Walls, floors, ceilings and services are suitable for the agreed installation.
  • Any third-party trades are coordinated in time for the agreed programme.

Delays caused by site readiness, access issues, incomplete third-party work or changes requested by the customer may result in additional charges or revised installation dates.

9. Changes to Orders

Any changes requested after an order has been confirmed must be agreed in writing.

Changes may affect the price, design, manufacturing schedule, delivery date and installation date. Creative Wood may decline a requested change where materials have already been ordered, manufacturing has begun, or the change is not technically or commercially practical.

10. Delivery and Installation

Delivery and installation dates are given in good faith. We will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed timelines, but dates may be affected by supplier delays, material availability, manufacturing schedules, transport issues, weather, illness, access problems, site readiness or other matters outside our reasonable control.

Creative Wood will not be liable for reasonable delays caused by circumstances beyond our control. Where delays occur, we will aim to keep the customer informed and arrange a revised schedule.

11. Materials, Finishes and Natural Variation

Wood, veneers, stone, painted finishes, laminates and other materials may vary in colour, grain, texture, pattern or appearance. Samples are provided as a guide only and may not be an exact match to the final installed product.

Natural movement, minor expansion, contraction and variation can occur in timber and other materials due to temperature, humidity, sunlight, heating systems and normal household conditions.

12. Appliances, Sinks, Taps and Third-Party Products

Where appliances, sinks, taps, handles, worktops or other third-party products are supplied as part of a project, they may be subject to the manufacturer’s own warranties, specifications and availability.

Creative Wood is not responsible for faults, delays or specification changes caused by third-party manufacturers or suppliers, except where required by law.

If a customer supplies their own appliances, fittings or other products, the customer is responsible for ensuring that those items are suitable, available on time and compatible with the agreed design.

13. Customer-Supplied Information

The customer is responsible for ensuring that any information supplied to Creative Wood is accurate and complete. This includes measurements, drawings, appliance specifications, finish choices, access information, service locations and any other relevant project details.

Creative Wood is not responsible for issues caused by incorrect, incomplete or late information supplied by the customer or by third parties acting on the customer’s behalf.

14. Guarantees, Warranties and Statutory Rights

Creative Wood aims to provide high-quality workmanship and durable bespoke products. Any specific guarantee or warranty terms will be set out in your quotation, invoice, handover documentation or manufacturer documentation where applicable.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights. Under Irish consumer law, consumers have rights where goods or services are not as described, not fit for purpose, not of satisfactory quality, or not supplied with due skill and care.

15. Cancellations

Cancellation terms may depend on the type of order, how the contract was entered into, whether the goods are bespoke or personalised, whether services have started, and whether materials have already been ordered.

Because many Creative Wood projects are bespoke and made to customer specifications, cancellation rights may be limited once an order is confirmed, materials are ordered, design work has begun or manufacturing has started.

Where a cancellation is accepted, Creative Wood may be entitled to charge for work already completed, materials ordered, design time, administration, supplier charges, manufacturing costs or other costs reasonably incurred.

This does not affect any cancellation rights or remedies that may apply under Irish consumer law.

16. Returns and Refunds

Bespoke, made-to-measure or personalised products are generally not suitable for return simply because a customer changes their mind.

Where goods or services are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet the standards required by law, we will deal with the matter in accordance with applicable Irish consumer law.

Any refund, repair, replacement or remedy will depend on the circumstances, the nature of the issue and the rights available under applicable law.

17. Care and Maintenance

The customer is responsible for using and maintaining installed products appropriately after handover. This includes following any care guidance provided for doors, worktops, hinges, drawers, painted finishes, timber surfaces, appliances and other components.

Damage caused by misuse, neglect, excessive heat, water damage, impact, unsuitable cleaning products, poor ventilation, dampness, unauthorised alterations or third-party work may not be covered by any warranty or guarantee.

18. Limitation of Liability

Creative Wood will not be liable for indirect losses, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, inconvenience or consequential loss, except where liability cannot be excluded under law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

19. Intellectual Property

All website content, text, images, designs, drawings, plans, logos, graphics and other materials are owned by or licensed to Creative Wood unless otherwise stated.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, alter, publish or use any content from this website or any Creative Wood design material for commercial purposes without written permission.

Designs, drawings and concepts prepared by Creative Wood remain the intellectual property of Creative Wood unless otherwise agreed in writing.

20. Photography and Project Use

Creative Wood may request permission to photograph completed projects for portfolio, website, social media or marketing purposes.

We will not intentionally publish private customer details with project images without permission. Customers who do not want their project photographed or used for marketing should inform Creative Wood in writing.

21. Website Links

24. Changes to These Terms

Creative Wood may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.

The Terms & Conditions that apply to a confirmed order will generally be the terms in place at the time the order was accepted, unless otherwise agreed in writing or required by law.

25. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the courts of Ireland, unless another jurisdiction applies under mandatory consumer protection law.
